The UCCS Mathematics Department offers a special track that leads to departmental honors, noted on the diploma and transcript, upon graduation, to qualified students pursuing a B.S. degree in Mathematics. Admission to the honors track is by application only; see application form below. A letter of recommendation from a faculty in the Mathematics Department is required. Students should normally apply no later than the beginning of the first semester of their junior year.

Students pursuing the applied math option may have graduate study or industry careers as their goal. This option prepares students for further study in mathematics and for careers requiring mathematical modeling or scientific computation.
