About the Statistics Minor Program
The Statistics minor provides more robust preparation for those pursuing majors or careers that use statistic analysis, probability modeling, or stochastic modeling.
Program Focus of Study
The Statistics minor focuses on calculus, statistics, and stochastic modeling.

Program Coursework
Minors must complete the following five courses (18 credit hours):
- MATH 1350 - Calculus I
- MATH 1360 - Calculus II
- MATH 2350 - Calculus III
- MATH 3130 - Introduction to Linear Algebra
- MATH 3810 - Introduction to Probability and Statistics
In addition, statistics minors must complete any two of the following three courses:
- MATH 4810 - Mathematical Statistics
- MATH 4820 - Mathematical Statistics II
- MATH 4850 - Stochastic Modeling
To receive the minor, each required MATH course must be completed with a grade of C or better. Students are responsible for any prerequisites to required courses.
