About the Undergraduate Degree Program

The Department of Mathematics offers a comprehensive curriculum leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. All students begin with an introduction to the various subfields of mathematics through ten core courses and then select one of five options to tailor their program to best meet their career or advanced study goals.

Focus of Study

Students pursuing the pure math option often have graduate study as their goal. This option prepares students for contributing to theoretical literature and focuses primarily on algebra and analysis.
